Ravinder Chahal
Born in Coventry and educated at Cambridge, Ravinder Chahal has lived the London media lifestyle. Aged 32 and married, he started as a journalist before becoming a copywriter for a financial PR company in the City. He has created electronic music for TV, and ran a successful London nightclub for three years, called aneveningwithfriends. He is also a director and consultant for an independent TV documentary company.
Since 2004 he has co-run a clothing label,
The World Chico, which sells well-designed, witty and stylish T-shirts based on a football theme, by mail order. Ravinder and his colleague have brought a DIY, almost punk sensibility to entrepreneurship - reflected in the name of their second, recently launched clothing label
PunkMC.
Ravinder has always loved writing and has written many short stories.
The Group is his first novel, and was snapped up by Reverb for fitting perfectly with its media-literate philosophy. He is now working on a second novel.
